March 5-9


Text Box: Language: We will continue our morning writing journals to practice writing complete sentences. We will be writing about storms. We are also learning about “sneaky e” in our tile lessons this week! Science/ SS- weather Upcoming Events: March birthdays: Cam-10th, Ethan- 29th, Addison-31st March 15: Report cards go home March 23: NO SCHOOL- Spring Break begins Spring Break- March 23-30 Text Box: monday tuesday wednesday thursday friday Text Box: Reading/Phonics: This week we will read nonfiction books about storms. We will focus on main idea and details along with informational writing. Students will identify the important text-based facts from the books. We will learn 4 new vocabulary words: weather, funnel, crystal, electricity. Sight Words: We learn 4 new sight words this week- like, make, him, into. Please practice sight words daily at home. Math: We will be working on these topics: -Counting by 1’s, 5’s, 10’s to 100 -write numbers 0 to 20 -add with sums to 10 -Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group. -decomposing numbers -number bonds -fact families Text Box: Headline Subhead or byline Text
